VETERANS FISHING PROGRAM
Each year the Marina Del Rey Anglers hosts fishing trips for veterans with service-related disabilities on the Betty-O sportfishing boat out of Marina Del Rey. In partnership with Larry Brown Youth and Veterans fishing Charities, we host Veterans from WW2 all the way up to current conflicts, for a fun day of catching fish, social bonding, clearing their heads and breathing the pure ocean air. It is a wonderful day for our disabled veterans and for our club volunteers.
According to the VA doctors and recreational therapists, these fishing trips are the most popular and effective forms of recreational therapy for our veterans suffering physical and psychological wounds of battle. Thanks to all our partners, donors and sponsors, and our club volunteers for helping support this great program.
